Lincoln Lodge #80 held the local contest for the National Hoop shoot on Sunday January, 10 at Lincoln East Gym. We had 48 participants at the local contest. These participants were selected from 462 students that participated in their school shoots. Elk volunteers play a major role in making this contest go smoothly. We had 30 Elks volunteer and 8 spouses or children of Elks also volunteer. Winners of our local shoot went on to participate in the District hoop shoot held on January 23 at the Cooper YMCA. A special thank you goes out to Sonny Lane and John Brooks for lining up the volunteers and making both of these events so successful.
