GENERAL ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Awards for each scholarship are as indicated. Awards will be sent directly to the school/institution to which the winning student enrolls. No awards will be paid directly to the individual winner. Many of these scholarships may be used at either a 4-year or a 2-year institution.

Category "A" Scholarships - one application will be considered for all of the following scholarships:

  • General Scholarships (no specific criteria)
  • Jack Morgan Jensen -$ 1,750.00; Jack Milton Jensen -$ 1,750.00; Grace Metcalf -$ 1,275.00; BPO DOES Drove #4 -$ 2,350.00; PGER Vincent R Collura -$ 1,625.00; Maude Hollingshead/Rob Armagost -$ 1,350.00; Vi Berst/Sam Carter/James Rakers -$ 1,275.00; Richard Blomgren/Glen Tyrrel -$ 1,325.00; James Gray/Dan Holmstedt -$ 1,300.00; Robert & Edith Miles/Georgia Kalmbrunn -$ 1,300.00; Adam "Curly" & Leata Schwindt Scholarship -$ 2,025.00; Charles & Glenna Roper -$ 1,375.00;
  • BPOE Lodge #80 Bowler's Scholarship -$ 2,325.00 Restriction: Applicant must have bowled competitively during their senior year. Proof of participation in a league or unified bowling must be attached to this application.
  • Graydon Rathbun Memorial Scholarship -$ 2,125.00 Restriction: Applicant must be bilingual and declare a college major or minor in a language other than their native tongue. One of your letters of recommendation must confirm that you satisfied this requirement, and proof of college registration satisfying the conditions will be required.
  • Agricultural Scholarships -$ 1,650.00 Applicant must declare a major in an agriculture-related field of study.
  • Nebraska Vocational/Trade/Community College Scholarships: Applicant must attend a Nebraska Vocational, Trade, or Community College. Please note that many of our other scholarships may also be used at these institutions.
  • Vic Meisinger Scholarship -$ 2,425.00;

Category "B" Scholarships. Each of these scholarships or groups requires a separate application. Please be aware that each winner must submit official documentation of enrollment in the required area of study or at the required learning institution prior to payment of the award.

  • Damon London/Lee Erisman -$ 1,300.00 Applicant must declare a major in the field of Engineering.
  • PGER George B. Klein Memorial Scholarship -$ 2,550.00 Restriction: Applicant must declare a major in the field of business, economics or information technology.
  • Samuel R. & Virginia E. Carter Scholarship -$ 1,300.00 Restriction: Applicant must attend Lincoln Northeast High School and must declare a major in the field of medicine.
  • Wauneta V. Peterson Scholarship -$ 1,400.00 Applicant must enroll in EITHER an Elementary Education degree program, OR a K-12 Education degree program in Music or Physical Education
  • Robert W. Sindlar Memorial Scholarship -$ 3,600.00 Applicant must have a background in and be planning to major in the Performing Arts

All completed applications must be received at the Lincoln Elks Lodge #80 by 7:00 pm on December 30, 2025 to be eligible for consideration. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED - BE SURE TO CONSIDER MAILING TIME!

Winners will be notified by mail, and will also be posted on the Academic scholarship web page, by April 15, 2026.
